Page history last edited by Hal! 2 weeks, 5 days ago Saved with comment

This is a page for the group as a collective entity. More to come.

"Let me get this straight raht here. We's takin' on th'Wyrm with three Garou, a Kin security specialist, a hypno-ray totin' mad scientist, a kung fu reality hacker, a saint-chick that controls plants, a raven shutterbug that cain't never shut up, and little ol' me. Gaia help us..." - Linda

Troupe Members - The Eye of the Storm

The Eye of the Storm is a mixed cabal/pack of Mages, Garou and others that are devoted to fostering cooperation and communication between the different denizens of the WoD and combating threats to the whole world, particularly from Nephandi and agents of the Wyrm.

Iron Rain AKA Candace Zika (Glass Walker Philodox)

Gabriel Dreams-of-Harmony (Uktena Ragabash)

Joseph Chases-the-Dream (Uktena Galliard and warsinger. NPC)

Linda Lee AKA "Eel" (Uktena Kinfolk and Dreamspeaker)

Dr. Sylvester Morton (Etherite and former Void Engineer)

Andrew Ford - gentle-souled, angelic Celestial Chorister

The Pack - This is a page for discussion & issues specific to the St. Elmo's fire Garou pack rather than the play group as a whole, including details like Totem accounting and the like. The older previous pack (The Hope Springs Pack) can be found here.

The Cabal - A page for details specific to the mage cabal rather than the play group as a whole (coming soon).

Relationship Map - Hal has just barely started building one of these for the group.

Pooled Backgrounds

The "Anchor" Background for the troupe's pooled Backgrounds other than Totem is Chantry.

Chantry: 4 (will eventually be 4, once the Linda Vista project is completed) - this is currently an ongoing Project.

Resources: 1 (from Iron Rain and Eel, currently staked to the Linda Vista project) - there are also 3 more temporary Resources dots also stakes to this project.

Totem: 21 (see the pack page for an accounting of the pack's Totem)

Node: 5 - it comes in the form of three Haunts, in different parts of Linda Vista.  See below.

Linda Vista Community Hospital

(Chantry name pending)

This is the location the group selected to found a pack house/chantry. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linda_Vista_Community_Hospital

Location: Los Angeles, CA. 610-30 St. Louis Street, Los Angeles, California, the Boyle Heights neighborhood, a compound filling an entire city block (with 6th St to the north, Chicago St to the East, Inez St. to the south, and St. Louis St to the West). Across the street from Hollenbeck Park. A few blocks east of the LA River, near the intersections of the 10, 5, 6, and 101 freeways.

Nodes: This hospital has three Nodes inside that are also Haunts. All have dark Resonance of one flavor or another, but they're still Nodes. There are some restrictions on use, as two of them are shared with the Wraiths. a 3-point Node in the boiler room that is also a Haunt for a circle of Wraiths, a 1-point Haunt in the first floor operating theatre, and a 1-point Haunt in Room 323, which used to house Specters and a Nihil.

The Boiler Room (3): The largest Node, the central locus of the whole structure, and Cinder's personal lair. He is the overall leader of the hospital's Wraiths, and governs access to the Node's power. The boiler room was home not only to the hospital's heating, but also the location of its crematorium, where an unknown number of John and Jane Does were consigned to ashes. Strong feelings of desolation and depression wash over individuals in this blighted place, for this Node's Quintessence has Temperamental (Desolate) Resonance.

1st Floor Operational Theatre (1): This Node's Quintessence has Temperamental (Forlorn) Resonance. A shy female Wraith wearing 1950s garb, whose name has not yet been revealed, resides here. The Eye must secure her permission before tapping this Node's Quintessence.

Room 323 (1): Unrestricted. No Wraiths occupy this Node, and the Eye is free to use it as they see fit so long as they do not endanger the Wraiths. It was formerly the location of a stable Nihil, and the lair of a pack of Specters. It remains a cold, uneasy place, even after the Nihil has been closed and the Specters banished. Eel still monitors its Shadowlands space to ensure that the Nihil does not reopen, and that it is kept clear of Specters. Its Quintessence has Entropic (Inevitable) Synergy.

Type: War Chantry
Tradition Structure: Open
Cabals: (1) The Eye of the Storm. Consors include The St. Elmo's Fire pack, the Hang Fire pack, the Gurahl Kalluk, and a circle of Wraiths.
Horizon Realm: None

Leadership Type: N/A yet

External Relations: Close ties with the Seat of the Nine, the Fort Institute, the Academy of Thorns, and the McIntyre Apple Farm. Friendly with the House of the Setting Sun. Neutral but cordial with the Mictlan Chantry. Strained relations with the Four Winds Chantry. Many of its members are also part of the closely allied Glittering Dreams Sept. Strained but cordial with Loom of the Fates, Shaking Hills, and Klaivestrike Septs.

Herald: Linda "Eel" Lee.

Other Notable Members: Our Troupe!

Consisting of a four-wing main hospital building and a two wing apartment building/Dormitory, and a few smaller outbuildings. multiple parking lots, on the eastern (Chicago St.) side of the lot.

The Lab II

the troupe's former temporary HQ/Pack House/ Squatter Chantry was located at 2101 Greenfield Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90025. Linda and Joseph resided there full time, as did Odysseus when he still lived, while Rowena was staying with her mother Molly in an apartment on Park Ave in Venice. Thanks to her Geasa, Amrita moved about constantly, never sleeping in the same place two nights in a row, but there was a bedroom at the Lab set aside for her that she occupied about 3 nights a week. The Lab II was firebombed into rubble during the climax of Story 8. This was effectively a 1-dot Chantry.

In Memoriam

Memorial

Troupe members that have fallen in battle or otherwise joined the choir invisible.

Steve - (Homid Silent Strider Ragabash). Slain in Story 2, Chapter IV (3/11/2011 in-game, 12/11/2011 real time) by a Fomor First Team member with silver bullets. Original group member, returned Overwatch character.

Prof. Odysseus Onassis - (Son of Ether Scientist of the Adventurers faction) - Slain in Story 8, Chapter 2 (4/26/2011 in-game, 4/2/2014 real time) by Han Zhou, Nephandus and Fallen Akashic Brother with a thrown sword. Original group member, returned Overwatch character.

Nightwatcher AKA Ashton (Harker) Knight - (Virtual Adept/Akashic Brother of the Reality Hackers and Vajrapani factions, anti-Nephandic crusader and clone of the original Ashton Harker Knight, who was killed by the Technocracy some years ago) - Slain in Story 8, Chapter 2 (4/26/2011 in-game, 4/13/2014 real time) by Athene Nemesis Descoteaux bani Fortunae, Nephandus and Fallen Hermetic Mage, with a telekinetic Forces stab. Lover and consort to Amrita Singh, sort-of father to Rowena Brennan. Original group member.

Cailan AKA Hashkeh Naabah - (Metis Wendigo Ahroun) - Introduced in the Story 8, Chapter 4 blue book "Rising Sun", and shot to death with silver bullets in Story 8, Chapter 6 by the NWO Blacksuit named Agent Anderson.

Amrita Singh (Human host Kami) - Introduced in Story 1, and was the group's lead from story 2 to Story 8. She was apparently killed in the Story 8, Chapter 6 Blue Book Goddess in the Machine, by what were presumably agents of the Technocracy. A body that appears to have been hers has been recovered, and Rowena and Linda's attempts to prove it a decoy have been unsuccessful.

Former Troupe Members

This game has gone on for a number of years now, and accordingly, as such things happen in online based play, there has been quite a bit of turnover both in terms of players and characters as both have come and gone. Below we'll list characters that have formerly been involved and their fates. We'll also list a couple of NPCs that formerly were considered group members also but have moved on.

Marcus H. Truman, AKA Falcon's Resolve - (Homid Silver Fang Ahroun) Original group member played by Mike until Story I-3, after which he became an NPC. Formed the Wyvern Rampant pack and is still associated with the Boiling Earth Sept.

Guillermo Castaneda AKA High-and-Tight (Homid Glass Walker Galliard and Dies Ultimae recruiter) - NPC group member and back-up. Now alpha of the Hope Springs pack, presently associated the Cleansing Path sept. Was in the group from chronicle start until story III, chapter 3.

Maria Castaneda (Glass Walker Kinfolk and Guillermo's sister) - NPC group member and back-up. With her brother and the Hope Springs pack. Was in the group from chronicle start until story III, chapter 3.

Zoe Ana Sidorova - (Homid Silver Fang Theurge) - played by Myria from Story I-5 to early Story 2. Member of the Wyvern Rampant pack, is still at the Boiling Earth sept with her packmates. Formerly ofthe Shaking Hills sept, but set out to make her own way in the world and ended up involved in the events of the Chronicle.

William AKA Wil or Dreams-of-Bridges - (Homid Child of Gaia Ahroun) - played by Ryan after his original character Steve's demise, joining after Story II-4. Spearheaded the formation of the Hope Springs pack and departed to the Cleansing Path sept along with them when he left play in story III, chapter 3.

Alexis - (Lupus Black Fury Theurge) - played by Dale from Story II-1 until III-3, departed along with the rest of the Hope Springs pack off to the Cleansing Path sept.

Kijika - (Metis Uktena Theurge) - Played by brian from the end of Story II on until the end of Story IV. Member of the Hope Springs pack who stayed with the party on Guillermo's behalf for a while, but eventually rejoined his pack in Oregon.

Sean Malley - (Homid Fianna Philodox) - played by Patrick concurrently with Odysseus from Story IV to Story VII. Presently affiliated with the Glittering Dreams sept, operating off camera as a diplomatic connection for the party.

Kalluk - (Ursine Ice Stalker Uzmati, Guralh) - Played by Paul. He appeared in the end of story 8 and Chapter 1 of Story 9, before becoming an NPC. Still affiliated with the party as a mostly off-camera ally.

Jeremy Reuter (Fianna Kinfolk, photojournalist and Orphan Mage) - Played by Pat. He appeared first in Story 8, Chapter 2, and retired as a PC in story 9, chapoter 2. He's still around, helping behind the scenes.

Rowena Brennan (Verbena Mage and EMT) - Played by Sue. She first appeared in the beginning of Story 2. Technically, Rowena left Los Angeles and the Eye at the end of Story 10, but the cabal considers her still an honorary member, and stays in touch with her.

The following player characters had one appearance apiece:

Aliester - (Homid Shadow Lord Philodox and Judge of Doom) - Played by Matt. Appeared only in the very first session of play. His disappearance has never been explained - he might be with Marcus Truman's Wyvern Rampant pack, or he might have gone off to report back to his tribe.

Lars Eriksen - (Homid Corax) - played by Soren. A paparazzo and investigator, he made a guest appearance in Story 1 before flying off to poke his peak into other business.

Sunshine - (Homid Bone Gnawer Theurge) - Made one guest appearance as a PC in Story V, chapter 1. Has occasionally and briefly appeared on camera since that time, but is now with the Glittering Dreams Sept and the Brass Monkeys pack.

Cyprian Anatolyevich Bezrodny, AKA Razborka (Settles-the-Account) - (Homid Glass Walker Philodox) - Former Russian mobster, negotiator and problem solver. Appeared briefly as a player character in Story VIII, chapter 3. After his player's departure, Razborka was assigned to join the Hang Fire pack to act as a sort of minder.

A couple of slightly disturbing statistics: As of 4/2/2014, two out of the three characters imported from the Overwatch cabal to this chronicle have died (only Linda remains). Also, both died in fights against Nephandi. Also note that we're now two for two on Nephandi fights claiming the lives of PCs. However, that's out of two and a half years of real time play, so it could be much worse.
