Description

Homid:

6'2" (188 cm), 205 lbs (93 kg), dirty-blonde hair kept rakish and short, with steel-gray eyes. This 19-year-old's face always bears stubble from at least a day's worth of growth, and he appears older than he actually is; it may be that his Rage has worn on him some, but the black-framed glasses he wears help. All together it's a look that works for him, giving him a deceptively relaxed, casual approachability that fades quickly as you get closer. Typically in a casual short-sleeve shirt given to earth-tones which highlight his features - browns, ivorys, tans, grays, autumnal colors etc. - and a pair of comfortably fitting slacks - both functional and lose fitting but also lending to an image about someone who cares about their appearance. Finished off with a pair of gray high-quality ankle-cut athletic sneakers bearing a noticeable tread-pattern ideal for city mobility or country hikes. His frame belies his strength and durability - while muscular, he is very lean.

Crinos:

Dirty-blonde hair fades to an almost pure arctic-white, covering his entire body as bones knit and body reforms, bringing this towering 10' beast into view. Muscles double and double over again, drawing strong, well defined lines across his body, rippling at the sheer power Gaia grants her Warrior Children. At 1040 lbs now, one would do well to steer clear of the war-path about to be paved. Wicked teeth bear, and equally vicious black-clawed nails protrude out from the fingers, only meant for one thing - killing, as furious, raging, steel-gray eyes stare down the length of an elongated canine-like muzzle, ending in a black tipped canine-nose. The ears, now pointed and atop the head, move and swivel with attentiveness to every motion, every sound - each a possible threat in need of eradication. A tail sprouts - bushy and full like that of their feral half of the family. His head is crowned by a small mane of that same pure arctic-white hair.  Wisps of hair accentuate the forearms, calves and midsection.  If this form wasn't meant so much to inspire fear, it would be an awesome sight to behold.

Lupus:

Much of the fear-inspiring ferocity melts away as the shift completes. Hair recedes back slightly to that more appropriate for a canid, losing just a tiny bit of purity to the arctic-white color. Muscles sink back below the skin, and the jaw shrinks back as the form takes on an appearance identical to that of a wolf's, if not just slightly larger. In this form a regal creature is beheld, and while 'adorable' might be used by some to describe it, this is still a feral creature and every bit as much deserving of the respect one would grant an actual wolf. Especially knowing that where one wolf is spotted, its pack lies close by, and certainly all are watching. Attentive, piercing steel-gray eyes track motion, while ears swivel and tune to the same, or sounds - oftentimes seeming to move for no reason, to sounds inaudible to humans.

Background:

Am not going to divulge all background secrets without in-character play (because that's 1/2 the fun!), but I will list some of the more basic (and obvious) things.

- Marcus hails from the Ozarks region of Missouri, and yes, as his name and region would suggest, he is related to America's 33rd president. It certainly isn't anything direct, but anyone with some good contacts inquiring on the Kin-Network will found out that Harry S Truman was 'Fang Kinfolk.

- After Marcus' first-change he befriended another garou, and from there the pair traveled to Seattle, WA to establish themselves at the Sept of Aeolus' Shroud located there.

- Marcus has been in a pack before this one - he speaks little about though no direct and/or probing inquiry has yet to be made to him about what happened to them. Clearly though it was something disastrous - Marcus' Rage burns unchecked above his ability to control it perfectly, despite all the years he has spent directing it towards constructive use. It is a silent, simmering Fury, like that of a Volcano's; clearly visible, but held in check, if only by want of Nature. This is the first time in a long time that Marcus' stoic outward demeanor has been compromised and those around can see the underlying beast that seethes and rattles against his carefully constructed 'cage'.

- Marcus has traveled to The Sept of the Boiling Earth - outside of Redding, CA - on grounds of a personal mystery and has sworn himself to the Sept. He has been here now for about 2 months. While he continues his work on his personal mystery, he has been given other duties to perform, naturally.

Marcus Blue Book I - part of the story of Marcus' coming to Boiling Earth.

Marcus Blue Book II - Yeah.

Friends, gamers, digital-countrymen; I believe it is for the best that we say goodnight and farewell to Marcus. We had good times, we had bad times - but I seemed to have come in and stirred up the cool-aid a bit too much, and for that I am sorry. Even before the incident the other night, I had the feeling that there were many disparate play-styles among us, and some were bound to conflict, mine included. I am just sorry it led to this inevitable conclusion. I am fairly certain I've successfully trashed any sort of IC standing Marcus had within the group - especially for those not familiar with the werewolf genre - and so its probably only best if he goes back to the Sept to help there. I'm sure he'll stick around and lend his aid to the Sept cleansing the blight, perhaps he'll end up being paired off with another pack to reappear as an NPC from time to time in Hal's hands. Might even help train a few of you if you request it (you can use him as an EXP excuse perhaps – its up to Hal now). It was truly a pleasure meeting all of you OOCly, and you all have quite unique characters as well that I would have liked to know better. For that, I am sorry. I hope you all believe me in saying I bear no ill will towards you or your characters, and I will no doubt pester Hal on off-days for updates to see how you guys are coming along. I hope you all have a great deal of fun and I wish you success! *In his best burly Klingon Voice* Qua'Plah! - Mike

Mike, thank you for all of the hard work you put in on your guy, on the pack page, and for the clear enthusiasm you put in.

It's too bad things didn't work out better between your guy and the group, and I'll definitely keep you filled in on current developments.

I'll catch you on the flip, good buddy.
