Description: A golden-brown Maidu Native American man well over six feet in height, Joseph is a looming and fearsome figure, muscled like a bodybuilder but still flexible and deft, every inch the Indian warrior-bard. His lustrous raven hair is usually worn loose, and he prefers attire in which he can move and hunt in the temperate forests of his native Northern California, and festooned with charms and other occult flourishes. Lately, since he's been operating out of Los Angeles rather than the Susanville Rancheria and at the urging of his mate and other female companions, the big Maidu has shifted away from the "rez guy dress code" to more fashionable fitted t-shirts, stylish jackets and designer jeans so that urban Garou and Mages won't dismiss him as a hick before he can have a chance to win them over. Though his Rage is powerful, he has a winning and charming personality, and while he's both very good at playing the 'laconic, stoic Indian' card and prefers listening before speaking, he's more than capable of waxing quite eloquent in both word and song, and his rich baritone voice is definitely easy on the ears. Chases often carries with him a highly ornamented yet equally functional Garou bow, and with his very powerful archer's musculature he is well able to draw this deadly weapon even in Homid form.

Background
Joseph is the youngest of the five children of the late, noted Uktena Ahroun Fire-Eye, and was raised mostly by his mother as a consequence of his father's frequent absence on sept and pack business as well as his strained relationship with the family in general. He is a full blooded member of the Mountain Maidu (AKA Yamonee Maidu) tribe of Native Americans, and was born and raised in poverty on the reservation...

Family
Joseph is the youngest of five children. His later father was a powerful Ahroun. The family was reasonably functional when his dad wasn't around, which was most of the time. Dad made his disappointment at his older kids not Changing very clear. For the brief period after Joseph's change that his dad was still alive, he may have received favoritism that his siblings did not appreciate, and which has colored their relationship since. His father was still abusive to him, just not as severely as the others.
The warpath is renting their house from one of his relatives. They used to live in the Susanville Rancheria, but other than Joseph, those that hadn't already relocated to Red Bluff or the Greenville Rancheria previously did so when his father died. One of these rents the Warpath a home.

Blue Books and Timeline of Appearances
Joseph was already a recurring character (first appearing briefly and in a nonspeaking role in Story 1, chapter II, then taking part in several more chapters of that story) and took part in most of the chapters of Story 2 before he became part of the main cast in story 3 chapter III, and so he already appeared in a number of blue books prior to that time. Below we will link both the blue books that he was part of and the chapters as well, up until Story 3 Chapter III. After that, we will confine ourselves to his blue book appearances.
Story 1, Chapter IV B - Joseph made his first speaking appearance here, leading Silent Medicine to heal Steve and invite some of the troupe up to the caern.
Story 1, Chapter V - Joseph escorts the PCs up to the Caern, acts as a tour guide and flirts a bit with Amrita and Linda.
Story 1-V BB: Rites of Glory, of Shame and of Beginnings - He appears briefly in this scene, but it establishes that he stays behind at the Caern when the rest of his pack leaves, setting him up for his next appearance.
Story 1-V BB: You're Family Now - Joseph helps Linda feel some welcome in her new tribe and leads a tale-telling session. He coaxes Linda into telling him her story and her attraction to him is firmly established in this blue book.
Story 1-V BB: No Indoor Plumbing - Amrita cockblocks Joseph and Linda, and then he escorts the two women to their night's accommodations.
Story 2-I Tribunal Side - This chapter's logfile starts with a side scene that introduces Alexis. Joseph engages Alexis in a conversation that leads to him inviting her to help with the Litany discussion in the Caern Side file (below). Rain-of-Icicles gets in a dispute with Joseph over the former's insult to Linda, and Joseph stares him down.
Story 2-I Caern Side - In this chapter, Joseph puts together and helps conduct a discussion of the Litany aimed at Garou cubs and newcomers like Amrita. It doesn't go so very well.
Story 2-I BB: Those Left Behind - This is the first blue book that specifically focuses on Joseph and gives a glance inside his head. He mulls over his interactions with Linda and their mutual attraction, then he learns of the attack upon his packmate Mary and warns the sept.
Story 2-II B - Joseph arrives to support his beleaguered pack and is involved in fighting further HSL men.
Story 2-II A - Listed out of order here because Joseph's part in this scene takes place chronologically after his part in scene B. He is part of the group that fights the HSL snipers in this scene.
Story 2-II BB: The Gang's All Here - Joseph was part of this side scene also, discussing the tactical situation with the PCs.
Story 2-II BB: Allies & Ammunition - Joseph facilitated Amrita's recovery of Gnosis by introducing her to Rainshadow, but otherwise wasn't a major part of this side scene.
Story 2-III: Joseph was part of the planning and then the Garou contingent in the battle that took up this scene, splitting off from the player characters.
Story 2-IV BB: The Battle of Cinder Cone - the second blue book scene that uses Joseph as its viewpoint character, detailing the Garou side of the eponymous battle.
Story 2-IV Transition - Joseph leads a group of Garou down to help the PCs beneath Cinder Cone.
Story 2-VI - Joseph welcomes the group back up at the Caern for the Gathering for the Departed.
Story 2-VI BB: Personal Effects - Joseph takes the very sick Linda to a cabin and comforts her as she goes through the late Steve's possessions, deciding what to keep and what to discard.
Story 2-VI BB: On a Short Leash - while he does not actually appear in this scene, it's still deeply relevant to this list: Linda discusses the couple's upcoming first date (set for that evening) with Amrita. The date itself was never written out, but a number of references to what happened during it appeared in Linda's twitter feed.
Joseph appeared in every chapter of story 3 and so those won't be posted here, but his blue book appearances follow:
Story 3-I BB: Why Do You Scare Me? - Linda, Joseph, Ody and Wil engage in a rather animated discussion after the housewarming party.
Story 3-I BB: No More Lies - Linda meets with Joseph near Cinder Cone, and after a near-frenzied sexual encounter she admits that she is a fomor. Joseph barely manages not to go berserk, but is deeply angered and proceeds to lead Linda to Soaring Condor.
Story 3-I BB: I Smell Sex and Secrets - Overlapping with the prior scene, here the old Garou pack stumbles over the post-coitus confession and confronts the two lovers while Joseph is escorting Linda.
Story 3-I BB: Truth and Consequences - the lovers are both interrogated, and Joseph is asked whether or not she wants Linda to die. His answer: no.
Story 3-II BB: The Morning Breaks - Linda awakes from her coma, and both Joseph and Amrita welcome her back.
Story 3-II BB: Dreams, Memories and Tomorrows -Joseph, Ro and Linda discuss Linda's Awakening, and then Ro joins Joseph for a rather intent side discussion over breakfast.
Story 3-III BB: You Get To Keep Her - During the post-Revel celebration, assorted shenanigans occur.
