Story III - Unfinished Business
“I’ve had more moral and ethical challenges in the last two weeks than I’ve had in my entire life, to date.” - Amrita, in Regrets & Sincerity
This story began on Tuesday, March 15th, a day of the gibbous moon, and was mostly concerned with picking up the pieces of the characters' lives in the aftermath of stories 1 & 2, and asking themselves that eternally vexing question: "what now?" A major portion of the forward movement an action in this particular story took place within side scenes and blue books, with different characters' lives disparately taking them into a collision course with one another and having to confront uncomfortable truths about themselves in various ways.
Unfinished Business, Chapter I: Housewarming
Chapter I - This chapter (and with it the evening of March 15th 2011) started innocuously enough with a housewarming party for Odysseus and Linda, newly settled in to the house in which they were squatting. Some frivolity, eating and drinking happened, and the group discussed the next step in their lives and decided that they should stick together rather than just all going their separate ways. They also agreed in principle to go to Cleansing Path after the upcoming moot.

- The Truth Will Set You Free - Ro, Amrita & Linda
- It's Not the Litany (Amrita, Guillermo & Maria, immediately after the above scene)
- Strength of the Wolf (Wil, Kijika, Guillermo & Maria) - late morning
- Getting Educated (Amrita & Henry Farsight. Roughly the same time as Strength of the Wolf)
- I'll Always Have Your Back - Ody & Linda, roughly 2 PM. Bonus: Ody's backstory!
- Confession - Amrita and Ashton, immediately after Getting Educated.
- Under the Old Oak - (Ro and Ozy afternoon)
- Interviews, Promotions and Bonuses - The whole Garou pack. Wil completes his Fostern challenge, Alexis makes her Fostern challenge, Kijika demonstrates his mad Theurge skillz and arranges for Wil to learn the Gift: Inspiration.
- Forming A Pack - The Garou pack is formally assembled and obtains the blessing of Sulis.
- You Have to Find a Way - Amrita and Linda on the phone, 8:30 PM.
March 17, 2011 (Before 2 PM)
- Every Time We Say Goodbye (Amrita & Ashton, at dawn. Now with musical accompaniment!)
- Unearthing Secrets - (Ashton with guest appearance by Vox)
- The Last Descent (Amrita and Linda, on the way to Cinder Cone)
- No More Lies - (Linda and Joseph, immediately after The Last Descent. After a rather bumpy start to her confession, she reveals the truth of her condition to him)
- I Smell Sex and Secrets - (The whole Garou pack, Joseph and Linda. This scene overlaps the latter part of No More Lies, and continues after that scene's end.)
- The Sharing of Secrets - Amrita and Soaring Condor, immediately after The Last Descent and concurrent with No More Lies.
- Truth and Consequences - Linda is turned over for a thorough grilling and interrogation by the elders, Amrita makes an impassioned plea on her behalf, and her fate is handed down. (This scene ends at around noon)
- Regrets and sincerity - This scene overlaps Truth and Consequences, above. While Amrita, the pack and Soaring Condor are performing the Mockery curing way on the last NPC fomor, she has a troubling Mindspeech communication with Henry Farsight.

Unfinished Business, Chapter II: Curing the Mockery
Chapter II - This chapter took place on the afternoon (starting at around 2 PM) of March 17th, a day of the gibbous moon. At long last, Linda is subjected to the Mockery Curing Way, but Jez the Misery-Bane refuses to go without a fight.

March 17, 2011 (after 5 PM)
- Falling Awake - this Linda scene spans the period from the end of the MCW through to dawn on the morning of the 18th. Linda has an out-of-body experience spurred by having a big chunk of her soul ripped out, and emerges profoundly changed.
March 18, 2011
- The Morning Breaks - Amrita, Linda and Joseph. This scene is set right at dawn, just as Falling Awake comes to an end. Linda wakes up, is prompted to recount her dreamlike experience, and Amrita notices some pertinent details.
- Dreams, Memories and Tomorrows - Ro, Linda and Joseph. This scene overlaps with both Checking in and Mending Fences, below. Technically The Morning Breaks also. The three characters tell stories, voice concerns and look to the future. Also, Joseph issues an invitation.
- Checking In - Linda and Wil. Wil checking up on Linda.
- Mending Fences - Amrita, Songan and Nina. Am learns at the feet of two elders, and comes to a new understanding.
- Vox Vegetabilis* - Amrita, Ro, and Ashton, examining Vox and talking about his future.
- Amrita's Decision - Amrita tells Ashton she's reached a decision about adoption.
- Rites from LLC inc - Wil and Mary Laughs like Coyote: Wil learns the Rite of contrition late evening.

March 20, 2011 (Vernal Equinox & Full Moon - Moot day)
- Adoption - Amrita undergoes the Rite of Adoption and becomes Uktena Kinfolk.

Unfinished Business, Chapter III: The Moot
Chapter III - Set on March 20, 2011. The Moot and Equinox. The entire group heads up from Amrita's adoption rite and takes part in the moot. A major altercation between Amrita and Wil splits the group, and a new direction starts to take shape. The Garou pack is sent on to Cleansing Path without Amrita and the magi, and the remaining characters are required to take stock of their situation.
Chapter III Blue Books and Scenes
We are dispensing with the timeline page, but not with blue books.
- Coyote's Laughter - Mary Laughs-Like-Coyote retrieves Amrita when she departs he moot and talks a little sense into her.
- On the Prowl - Rowena is on the prowl during the post-moot celebrations and finds out that she's not the only one, leading to an encounter with Mingan Leaps-Like-cougar. She also learns some important things about herself in the process.
- You Get to Keep Her - Two couples' course through the evening during the post-moot celebrations: Ashton/Amrita and Joseph/Linda. One way or another, both get some reaffirmation of what is. Mary engages in mischief.
- Arrows of the Sun - Set concurrently with On the Prowl and You Get to Keep Her, this sequence details what Kijika did while everybody else was indulging in jovial company: completing his Fostern challenge.
- Home Again, Home Again - Ro and Joyce scene set the morning after (March 21). A tense discussion and reaffirmation of their relationship follows.
- Building Bridges - Ro, Bill, Linda and the Warpath. A couple of days after the moot (March 22), Ro starts her efforts to make connections between her coven and the sept. An epic dance battle commences between Bill and the Warpath. Ro dances with Mingan again. Bill calls her on it.
- Doctor and Patient Privileges - Linda and Ro. In her capacity as Linda's doctor, Ro visits with her friend and issues some serious personal advice. The two women laugh some, sigh some and point out some uncomfortable truths to one another regarding their love lives.

Unfinished Business, Chapter IV: What Now?
Chapter IV - Set on March 23, 2011. Planning session and story wrap-up. The mages and Amrita gather at "the Lab" IE Ody and Linda's house, and Linda and Joseph pick Kijika and Sean up at the Greyhound stop (having come down from Oregon after Guillermo sent them down) for the meeting as well. Introductions happen and the group agrees that Los Angeles is their next major destination, and discusses some of the particulars related to what they will need to do there. The surpassing prowess of Ozymandias is widely praised and much bet upon versus all comers. The cat considers this recognition entirely insufficient. They determine that they shall depart in three days' time for Los Angeles.
Chapter IV Blue Books and Scenes
Here is the space for blue books taking place after this final chapter of story 3, and that bridge the gaps between stories 3 and 4.
- The Odyssey, Part I - Set on the day after the planning meeting, Odysseus is trying to put some finishing touches on his devices before he has to pack up and leave, and his Avatar decides it's time for him to have a Seeking.
- A Wager Comes Due - Set a day or so after the planning meeting, Linda, Ro and Amrita pay Solomon a visit. Hey everybody, meet Vox!
- Letting Go - Set the evening before Ro's departure from the Lassen area. Ro goes over to the Warpath's house for a romantic dinner and a chance to break things off with Mingan cleanly. Is this the end of the Ro/Mingan subplot?
- Breaking Names - Set on the night before the departure from Lassen (same as Letting Go, above), Joseph and Linda have a heart to heart in which he tells her his own secret name, and offers some thoughts on Linda's name too.
- The Brennan Sisters - Set less than an hour after the group's departure from Lassen. Joyce calls Molly to fill her in on recent developments in Rowena's life, and to prepare Molly for her daughter's arrival in Los Angeles.
- Mother/Daughter Confidences - Ro's arrival in Los Angeles and a chance to catch up with her mother Molly.
- Girl Talk - The night before Story 4 starts, the group's three girls get together and do exactly that, over booze and ice cream. Amrita's prior and not-yet-written visit to her father gets discussed, Ro's emotional predicament gets dragged out and looked at, and Linda announces her engagement. (posted after story 4-1)
- Late Night Conversation - After Girl Talk, Ro goes home, stares hard at her cellphone and then sends a text. Then she and Mingan have a... you guessed it. (posted after story 4-1)
